1. Chicago Bears
— I don’t like Darnell Wright over Peter Skoronski, a local kid who is a much safer pick, and DT Gervon Dexter Sr. is a massive reach in round two. I like Zacch Pickens and Roschon Johnson, but I think they whiffed on their top two picks.
2. Dallas Cowboys
— Mazi Smith is lazy, and they should have learned from Taco Charlton about elite physical prospects from Michigan who don’t produce and lack effort. Luke Schoonmaker is also a reach of sorts. I like Deuce Vaughn, but they could have done better at the top of the draft.
3. Green Bay Packers
— Lukas Van Ness is a physical freak, but No. 13 is too high when they could have gone TE Dalton Kinkaid to help Jordan Love. And there was better value at WR than Jayden Reed .
4. San Francisco 49ers
— Their first pick was round three, but they didn’t get a lot of value in this draft, and I’m puzzled by two TEs taken.
5. Washington Commanders
— Emmanuel Forbes is a risk taker and went too high for me when Christian Gonzalez and others were there. And where did they address OT? I like Braeden Daniels, but he’s not a tackle to me.
