The Chicago Bears rolled out the red carpet for quarterback Caleb Williams during his Top 30 visit on Wednesday, signaling a significant step forward in potentially securing him as a key asset at Halas Hall.

Reports from Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz suggest that Williams left a lasting impression not only on the coaching staff and front office but also on the entire Bears organization with his performance during the visit.

This visit follows closely on the heels of an earlier engagement in Los Angeles, where Bears decision-makers had an extended opportunity to interact with Williams ahead of his pro day.

The discussions, which even extended to dinner and strategizing sessions at the USC facility, showcased the team’s keen interest in the talented quarterback.

Adding to the intrigue, Williams was spotted dining with Bears executives and current players like DJ Moore and Tyrique Stevenson on Tuesday evening in Lake Forest, Ill. The social engagement underlines the rapport building between the prospective quarterback and the Bears organization.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport suggested that this visit to Chicago could very well be Williams’ sole stop during the pre-draft process, implying a strong likelihood of him donning the Bears’ jersey in the near future.

After all of the formalities are completed and the Chicago Bears actually pull the trigger on Caleb Williams, the pressure will begin to mount. Williams has a ton of superstar hype surrounding him already and the Bears have been searching for a long-term franchise quarterback for years.

Will Williams actually end up being that guy for Chicago? Only time will tell.
