There has never been a more iconic hair style in America’s history then the mullet. The ‘do was put on the map by gems like the movie ‘Joe Dirt.’ Some NFL players were and are fashion-focused (check this 1970s icon unique style here, hint: there’s goldfish involved). #1 Mullet – Mitch Frerotte
#2 – Don Majkowski
Despite being an particular attractive mullet-holder, Majowski was best known as one of the Green Bay Packers best passers in franchise history. The QB’s look is also unique since it’s a bit of a shorter mullet in a list of mostly longer ones. Way to break the mold, Majik Man!
#3 – Dan Feeney
Feeney’s mullet is A-1. It’s like a blast from the past, seeing photos of his flowing mane (in the back). But the fact that the mullet is not a fashion trend in the 2020s makes him fashion forward… but backwards too. Either way, he gets #3 because I said so.
#4 – Monte ‘The Mullet’ Pottebaum
Monte is so serious about his hairdo that he made it his nickname.
Pottebaum is #4 because he retired from the NFL roughly a week into training camp in 2023. We can’t leave the former Pittsburgh Steelers off this list when it’s in his name!
#5 – Jaromir Jagr
Ok, ok. Jaromir Jagr is not an NFL player. But he is a legendary NHL player, although typically not for his hair. I was a bit young when he was in his greatest years, but he is forever burned into my memory, like most NHL fans of the 1990s. I may not have remembered his hair, but it is so good that he gets to jump sports to show off his magical mullet.
