Myles Garrett: Browns' playoff win over Steelers 'poetic justice'

The Cleveland Browns won their first playoff game in over 25 years in dominating fashion, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 48-37 while forcing five turnovers that allowed the Browns to build a 35-10 lead by halftime. Edge rusher Myles Garrett noted that Cleveland getting the win over its division rival was "poetic justice" given the history between the two teams.

"Not only that, but the first win in Pittsburgh since Ben [Roethlisberger]'s been in the league," Garrett told ESPN after the game. "I remember he ended my season—or they ended our season, my first year. Made it 0-16, and they were the ones to give us our first playoff win. That's poetic justice."

As Garrett noted, Roethlisberger has dominated the Browns for his entire career, as he had never lost a game to Cleveland at Heinz Field until Sunday night. But despite throwing for over 500 yards, Roethlisberger had the worst playoff performance of his career in the loss, as he threw four interceptions and was arguably the biggest reason that the Steelers found themselves in such a deep hole so early in the game. And while it was only one game, the disappointed look on the veteran quarterback's face led some to wonder if this was his last NFL game.

Meanwhile, the Browns will have to turn their attention to the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs if they want to keep their playoff run alive. Beating Patrick Mahomes and Co. will be no easy task but Cleveland showed tonight that it's a team that isn't afraid of defying expectations.
