Danny Amendola was the hero for the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

Danny Amendola was, once again, a superhero for the New England Patriots in a huge game Sunday.

His two touchdown receptions in the fourth quarter, not to mention a few other huge plays, helped the Pats take down the Jacksonville Jaguars and advance to Super Bowl LII.

And now there’s a fantastic new song to celebrate his greatness, thanks to the folks at 98.5 The SportsHub, who used the melody from the song “Lola” by The Kinks.

The song recounts Amendola’s glorious fourth-quarter exploits with no small amount of style. It’s just incredible, unless you’re a Patriots hater or a fan of the Jags.

Amendola took a backseat to the GOAT, Tom Brady, in terms of popularity the day after New England’s 24-20 win over Jacksonville. Still, he showed up at No. 46 on our SNIPdaily Top 100 list ahead of J.J. Watt, who was in the news for being one of the finalists for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.

Should Amendola once again have a big hand in helping the Pats win a Lombardi Trophy, no doubt he’ll shoot up our rankings two weeks from now when Super Bowl LII is in the books.
