The New Orleans Saints have lost their first major piece due to free agency during the 2024 offseason.

According to Jeremy Fowler, cornerback Isaac Yiadom is signing with the San Francisco 49ers.

Yiadom played a key role in the Saints secondary last season after Marshon Lattimore went down with injury. Yiadom totaled fourteen pass breakups during his playing time with New Orleans.

He's just 28 years old and would have been important depth this year for the Saints if they kept him around.

In eight starts in 2023, Yiadom was called for just two penalties and allowed a 48.9% completion percentage (12th in the NFL).

The veteran provided special teams value as well. He took 267 ST snaps, the fifth-most on the team.

All in all, he had a breakout season, and the Saints must replace him on their depth chart at CB. There are still some intriguing options in the free agency pool, and the NFL Draft will be a spot to watch for the front office to add talent in the secondary.
