In 2024, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr will face his old team, the Las Vegas Raiders, for the first time.

Having been a Saint for a year, Carr now gets the chance to face the franchise that drafted him in what will undoubtedly be a tight and tense affair. But there's also something else he's looking forward to.

Playing against star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Carr was on social media answering questions from fans and was asked if he was looking forward to playing against Crosby and the Raiders next season.

"I am looking forward to it, I cannot wait," Carr said. "I'm going to try and start a fight with him and punch him and then have the ref only see him throw his punch back. That's my goal."

It will no doubt be a big occasion for Carr to face the team that drafted him. While we don't know when or where the game will be played, one thing is for sure: there will be fireworks.

Carr's tongue-in-cheek- comment about starting a fight with Crosby is no doubt a little insight into the pair's relationship.

But once the game starts, it will be business as usual for both, as they will be doing everything they can to get the win.

Carr's first year in New Orleans didn't go as planned, as they finished with a 9-8 record and missed the playoffs. Carr himself had a decent season, throwing for 3,878 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions.

He will be hoping for a better return in 2024, especially when the Saints and Raiders lock horns in a revenge match for the ages.
