Derek Carr's first season with the New Orleans Saints did not go quite as smooth as the team probably hoped beforehand. There were inconsistencies, injuries, and some emotional frustration around the team.

That being said, Carr and the offense did show improvements in the second half of the season. Carr played better ball, and there was noticeably better communication around the entire offense.

Carr is looking to build on that in 2024 to lead the Saints to the playoffs.

The Saints QB's birthday is March 28th. He sent a message to the fans via Twitter (X) on Thursday.

It's clear that Carr wants to get better for New Orleans. He is not content with being average - as the team and offense was last season. Carr does not want a repeat of 2023.

The change in offensive scheme should help in that regard. Fans are excited about the potential of new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's offense. It'll be intriguing to see the stark differences from last year in play-calling and aggressiveness.

Regardless, Carr remains hopeful and wants the backing from Saints fans next season.
