The New York Giants can make some unique history with their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Fans may be surprised by the backstory on it, too.

The Giants have never drafted a wide receiver within the first six picks of the draft.

Could they change that in 2024? It seems rather likely between Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze.

It's hard to believe that is the case for New York. They've had some great receivers and special rookie years from wideouts in the past.

That being said, they've never spent such fantastic capital to help their QB at the WR spot. Now, they have an important decision to make.

They will need to choose whether they want to make history with that sixth overall pick at wide receiver or go a different route. Choosing that path would surprise folks - as they have been a consistent landing spot for receivers in mock drafts. Taking Brock Bowers at tight end or an offensive tackle cannot be completely ruled out at this time, either.

We will see what they choose. Of the top three wideouts, you really cannot go wrong with any of them. They each have elite, exciting skillsets.

Let's see if the Giants target one of them in round one.
