The New York Jets fan base is unimpressed with a veteran quarterback the team added to the practice squad ahead of Week 4. The Jets have been looking to add a veteran to the roster after Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1.

Zach Wilson has been awful for the Jets since he took over for Rodgers. In his defense, Wilson’s offensive line has not performed, and even more so after losing their left tackle before Week 3. Still, 26.7 QBR combined with a two-touchdown to four-interception ratio is unacceptable for a team that wants to be in the playoffs.

Many fans and pundits want Wilson replaced. However, head coach Robert Saleh said this week that Wilson is their best option. The veteran signing on Tuesday won’t help that.

According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Jets are signing Trevor Siemian to the practice squad.

Siemian won’t rescue the Jets season, even if he won a Super Bowl as a backup. Jets fans know it. Here are the best takes on Jets fans being upset by Siemian’s signing to the practice squad on Tuesday.
