New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has taken to Twitter to refute recent reports suggesting a rift between himself and head coach Robert Saleh.

Dismissing claims of a heated argument during the Annual League Meeting in Orlando, Johnson emphasized that such reports should be disregarded.

Earlier, NFL Network’s Colleen Wolfe had suggested a tense exchange between Johnson and Saleh, characterizing it as “very heated” and “awkward.”

However, SNY’s Connor Hughes later contradicted these claims, asserting that there was no verbal altercation between the parties involved.

Despite the denial, Johnson’s statement hints at heightened expectations for the upcoming season, with an implicit suggestion of a “playoffs or bust” scenario for Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas.

The Jets’ offseason narrative has been anything but quiet, marked by a series of headline-grabbing incidents. From Aaron Rodgers’ rumored political ambitions to Johnson’s initial remarks about the team’s quarterback situation—later clarified to praise rookie Zach Wilson—the team finds itself in yet another offseason spotlight.

Such occurrences have become par for the course for the New York Jets, adding another chapter to the ongoing drama in Florham Park.
