The New York Jets have received some excellent news regarding the health of Aaron Rodgers heading into offseason workouts.

With OTA’s right around the corner for the Jets, we can finally expect to see Rodgers back under center for New York. While Rodgers did get some practice time in toward the end of last season, it appeared unlikely throughout that he was going to get back on the field for the Jets, barring a run to the playoffs.

Recently, head coach Robert Saleh spoke about Rodgers’ health and return for next season. Here’s what he had to say.

“Once phase three hits, we’re not anticipating any restrictions from what we can and can’t do with him,” Saleh said Friday at the start of a two-day rookie minicamp.

“The guy can still sling it,” Saleh said. “He’s still working through his rehab, but there are no issues on the trajectory on which he’s going.”

With a healthy Aaron Rodgers, the Jets will be an exciting team to watch in 2024. While the 2023 season was a massive disappointment, the Jets did show that they have a Super Bowl-caliber defense.

This offseason, the Jets did a nice job on paper addressing some of the needs on the offensive side of the ball that were glaring without Rodgers. First and foremost, they overhauled the offensive line to help better protect their quarterback, and then through the draft and free agency, the Jets added some new wide receivers to help compliment their young star, Garrett Wilson.

The Jets have been starved for good play from the quarterback position for years now with failed draft picks in Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson highlighting those struggles. 2023 felt like a sick nightmare for the Jets when Rodgers went out for the season in just four plays.

However, by all accounts, things seem to be going well for Aaron Rodgers and if he can stay healthy, the Jets will be a contender in 2024.
