The New York Jets opened their Friday proceedings at the NFL draft by taking receiver Elijah Moore out of Mississippi.

Moore, a consensus All-American and All-SEC nominee, was welcomed to New York by former Jets Pro Bowler Laveranues Coles, who announced his selection. His 2,441 receiving yards are good for fourth-best in Rebels history.

Moore, standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 185 pounds, fits the slot like a glove. As great as Jamison Crowder is in the slot, his attributes don’t allow for the Jets’ offense to use jet-motion too often.

The Ole Miss rookie should immediately assume jet-motion duties, giving the Jets a true X-factor weapon they’ve been seeking for quite some time.
