The NFL has issued a $10,927 fine to Zay Flowers for an unsportsmanlike conduct violation during the AFC Championship Game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to the league’s accountability website.

As a first-time offender of the league’s taunting rules, Flowers was handed the $10,927 fine.

Flowers received the fine for his taunting penalty during the third quarter of last week’s AFC title game. Flowers took a bit of exception to Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed holding onto his leg after he completed a 54-yard reception. The rookie wideout pushed off Sneed and flipped the football toward him, which ended up drawing a 15-yard taunting penalty.

To make matters worse for Flowers, he wound up turning the football over a mere four plays later after he fumbled at the 1-yard line. The Ravens would not reach the red zone again over the remainder of the game.

Ravens defensive lineman Travis Jones was also fined by the NFL. He was issued a $6,700 fine for "A hit on a quarterback" violation.

Jones’ such infraction came when he swiped Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ head on a second down play during the third quarter of the contest. He drew a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty for his hit on Mahomes, but he was not ejected from the game.
