NFL betting trends for each Wild Card matchup

It's a good time to scan the board and the betting trends for each NFL team on this Wild Card Weekend. We have the benefit of each game this weekend not being the first between the two teams this season. We also have three divisional matchups, meaning we have two games of data and trends to consider.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers

Betting trends

Seattle: 7-10 ATS, 8-9 overs

San Francisco: 11-6 ATS, 9-8 overs

This game

Spread: San Francisco -9.5

Over/under: 43 points

Previous meetings this year

The 49ers beat the Seahawks in both meetings this season, first 27-7 in Week 2 and then 21-13 in mid-December. This spread opened at 49ers -6.5 and has quickly been bet up to the 9.5 you see now. San Francisco has won 10 straight games.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Betting trends

Los Angeles: 11-5-1 ATS, 6-10-1 overs

Jacksonville: 8-9 ATS, 8-9 overs

This game

Spread: Los Angeles -1

Over/under: 47.5 points

Previous meetings this year

The Chargers were blown out by the Jaguars 38-10 at home in Week 3. Los Angeles is likely favored here due to their 11-5-1 ATS record, but Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville are one of the hottest teams in the NFL and have shown themselves able to take it to the Chargers.

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills

Betting trends

Miami: 9-8 ATS, 8-9 overs

Buffalo: 8-7-1 ATS, 6-10 overs

This game

Spread: Buffalo -10

Over/under: 45 points

Previous meetings this year

The Dolphins took down the Bills at home in late September 21-19 and lost to them in Buffalo 32-29 in December.

This 10-point spread suggests to us that Tua Tagovailoa is not going to be able to play on Sunday after suffering yet another concussion a few weeks ago.

New York Giants @ Minnesota Vikings

Betting trends

New York: 13-4 ATS, 7-9-1 overs

Minnesota: 7-9-1 ATS, 11-6 overs

This game

Spread: Minnesota -3

Over/under: 48.5 points

Previous meetings this year

The Vikings beat the Giants at home 27-24 just three weeks ago. It took a last-second field goal to secure the win, and the spread is at -3 again. The Giants own the best ATS record in the entire NFL, while the Vikings have typically found themselves in close games this season.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

Betting trends

Baltimore: 7-9-1 ATS, 5-12 overs

Cincinnati: 12-4 ATS, 6-9-1 overs

This game

Spread: Cincinnati -6.5

Over/under: 44 points

Previous meetings this year

Baltimore beat Cincinnati at home 19-17 in October and Cincinnati beat Baltimore at home 27-16 last week. The Ravens had Lamar Jackson for the first meeting but not the second. It's currently unclear if Jackson will be available on Sunday night. The current spread suggest sportsbooks aren't so sure Jackson will be effective or on the field this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Betting trends

Dallas: 10-7 ATS, 9-8 overs

Tampa Bay: 4-12-1 ATS, 6-11 overs

This game

Spread: Dallas -2.5

Over/under: 45.5 points

Previous meetings this year

Tampa beat Dallas 19-3 in Week 1 in Dallas. Dak Prescott was hurt late in the game. This game offers the largest disparity in spread records for the weekend's matchup, explaining why the Cowboys are favored by 2.5 points on the road.
