The Green Bay Packers were one of the NFL’s most pleasant surprises this season and now look like legitimate contenders heading into 2024.

However, there is no doubt that the Packers have some holes that need patching. One such hole is along their offensive line, particularly at left tackle.

Green Bay will probably be parting ways with David Bakhtiari this offseason due to the fact that he has suffered a rash of injuries over the last several years. Since 2021, he has played in a grand total of 13 games, and he hasn’t played a full season since 2019.

A former NFL executive tells the NFL Analysis Network that he thinks replacing Bakhtiari should be a top priority for the Packers, and he sees a potential target for the club this offseason.

“There are a few needs that the Packers need to address, but protecting Jordan Love should be at the top of their list,” the former exec said. “The Broncos are going to be open for business and I think Garett Bolles is a must-target piece for Green Bay.”

Bolles, who played his collegiate football at the University of Utah, was selected by Denver with the 20th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

While he has never made a Pro Bowl, Bolles has been a consistently solid presence along the Broncos’ offensive line, and in 2020, he was named a Second-Team Alll-Pro.

The 31-year-old has one year remaining on his deal and is slated to earn $16 million next season, so Denver may look to move him in the coming months.

Should the Broncos place Bolles on the trade block, the Packers would indeed represent a fine destination given their current need at his position.
