NFL hands down harsh punishment to cameraman involved in Tyreek Hill TD celebration

NFL content creator Kevin Fitzgibbons explained Tuesday night that he's had his credentials suspended for the rest of the season and "possibly for good."

The 20-year-old University of Miami student applied for and got a job in 2022 to work at all Miami Dolphins home games and continued the gig into the 2023 regular season. He was involved in Dolphins' star wide receiver Tyreek Hill's memorable backflip touchdown celebration in Week 6 after a score against the Carolina Panthers.

Fitzgibbons said that he had worked with Hill, Saquon Barkley, Antonio Brown and "many others" in the past, prior to the gig with Miami. When the "Cheetah" was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Dolphins in March 2022, he and the college student "instantly reunited and began working together."

Fitzgibbons said that 2022 was "one of the greatest years of (his) life, working side by side with one of (his) best friends, watching him take over the league on his new team."

Hill briefly addressed the suspension Wednesday morning on social media, but hinted that if he said too much, he "could get fined," something the seven-time Pro Bowler is no stranger to.

The 29-year-old pass catcher is in the midst of a potentially historic season.

While no wideout has ever won the league's regular season MVP award, Hill seems to have just as good a chance as anybody.

He leads the NFL in receiving yards (1,324), receiving touchdowns (10), receiving yards per game (120.4), yards after catch (524) and receiving first downs (62). Hill is also second in receptions (88) and 20+ yard receiving plays (21) and third in targets (120).

The four-time first-team All-Pro is also on pace to break Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson's single-season record for most receiving yards (1,964), set in 2012.
