There has been endless speculation about Bill Belichick’s future in the NFL. Will he ever coach again? Will he take a front office role somewhere? Will he jump into the broadcasting booth?

Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson thinks that Belichick will absolutely be coaching again, and he thinks it will be very soon.

The New England Patriots parted ways with Belichick after this past season, ending his 24-year tenure with the franchise.

Belichick had an interview with Atlanta Falcons during the offseason, but the Falcons decided to go in a different direction. So did every other team that had head-coaching vacancies.

But apparently, Johnson does not think Belichick will be unemployed for very long.

There have already been rumors that Belichick could potentially take a job with the Dallas Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles if such an opportunity became available midseason. However, many feel that the Cowboys would not be a good match, as the idea of a Belichick-Jerry Jones pairing seems volatile given their personalities.

Some have also questioned whether or not Belichick can even be a prosperous coach in today’s era. The game has certainly changed, and Belichick has not exactly had much success since Tom Brady departed the Patriots in March 2020. Belichick failed to make the playoffs in three of his four seasons post-Brady, and this past year, New England went just 4-13, marking its worst record since 1992.

Has the game passed Belichick by? Perhaps, but there is no doubt that he was a phenomenal coach for two decades.

We’ll see if a team ends up giving Bill Belichick a chance, either next season or in the future.
