The Seattle Seahawks added Pro Bowl talent through the NFL Draft over the past two years with the selections of Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon in back-to-back first rounds. Both players earned nods as finalists for the Defensive Rookie of the Year as well, with Witherspoon still awaiting if he's the winner when it's announced on Thursday, Feb. 8.

Seattle's on-field results haven't been up to standard, but general manager John Schneider and the now-fired Pete Carroll deserve credit for how some of their draft picks over the past few years have panned out so far.

Though Carroll is out and Mike Macdonald is in, the Seahawks could look to address the secondary in the first round once again, something Seattle is projected to do in a recent mock draft from CBS Sports.

The site predicts that the Seahawks will select Miami Hurricanes safety Kamren Kinchens at No. 16 overall. Here's what they had to say about the pick:

"Most clubs will have Kinchens as the top safety in the class, as he is a rangy, versatile defensive back," CBS Sports wrote.

In three seasons at Miami, Kinchens posted 162 total tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, 14 passes defended, 11 interceptions and two touchdowns. Adding a play-making safety like him would bring more youth to a Seahawks secondary that will have to continue building around Witherspoon, Woolen, Coby Bryant and Jerrick Reed II.

It's anyone's guess which route Macdonald and Schneider will go for the first draft pick of a new era, but you can never go wrong with adding talent to a defense that struggled this past season.
