NFL playoffs: The +1000 Super Bowl bet to target before the divisional round

We've reached the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, meaning the race to Super Bowl 58 is down to only eight teams. In the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Green Bay Packers, and the Detroit Lions will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens will face the Houston Texans, and the Buffalo Bills will host the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the divisional-round matchups and the potential paths to the Super Bowl, we've targeted the two teams we like to meet in Las Vegas next month. And guess what? We can get 10/1 odds on that exact Super Bowl result if we're right.

The +1000 Super Bowl forecast to bet right now

Sportsbooks are offering a variety of NFL playoff specials ahead of the divisional round. One of the markets on FanDuel Sportsbook is a Super Bowl forecast, where you can bet on the exact Super Bowl matchup and the winner.

Surfing through the market, we found a forecast we absolutely love. You can get the 49ers to beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 at +1000 odds.

Let's start with the 49ers. San Francisco is by far the best team remaining in the NFC. The Niners are the biggest favorites in the divisional round (-9.5 against the Packers), and they're down to -180 to win the NFC and advance to the Super Bowl. This is arguably the best roster in the NFL, and it has the easiest path to the championship game.

As for the Chiefs, they're the smallest underdog in the divisional round (+2.5 against the Bills). Even though Kansas City is an underdog, we like Patrick Mahomes, who's 7-3 straight up as a dog, to pull off the upset. The Chiefs would likely play the Ravens in the AFC Championship, and we'd have no problem fading Lamar Jackson in that matchup. Jackson has completed just 55.8 percent of his passes in the playoffs, and he's thrown only three touchdowns and five interceptions in his postseason career. Yeah, give us Mahomes in that one.

If we nail the exact matchup, the 49ers would likely be somewhere between -2.5 and -4.5 in the Super Bowl. At that point, you could either ride the better team at our 10/1 price or hedge with the Chiefs spread or moneyline.

This is our favorite Super Bowl forecast on the board right now.
