NFL Week 10 'MNF' player prop: Bankable Bronco

Having earned home victories over the Packers and Chiefs before their bye week, the 3-5 Broncos are riding their first winning streak of the season. Meanwhile, the 5-4 Bills have already exceeded last year’s loss total, suffering defeats in three of their last five games. As these up-and-down AFC foes meet at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium to conclude Week 10, a player who has been a model of consistency gets our support for top prop:

The bet: Over 12½ receiving yards for Broncos running back Samaje Perine (DraftKings)

After spending more than three seasons as Joe Mixon’s backup on the Bengals, Perine signed with Denver to be a complement to Javonte Williams. Besides change-of-pace work, his role largely involves playing in passing situations.

Through eight games, the receiving usage for Perine has shown little variance. He has never been targeted less than twice and has always finished with two, three or four catches. More importantly for our purposes, he has covered this number every time, posting a low of 15 yards and a high of 73.

When Perine’s old team faced Buffalo last week, Mixon made five catches for 31 yards. The two games prior saw even greater receiving production from opposing backs, with massive totals accumulated by Rachaad White of the Buccaneers (7-70) and Rhamondre Stevenson of the Patriots (6-51).

As the pass-catching back on a team that figures to be trailing, Perine should deliver once again.
