NFL Week 15 'TNF' touchdown props: There's value to be had
Week 15 in the NFL gets going with an AFC West clash between two teams all but eliminated from the postseason race. The Las Vegas Raiders are fresh off of a shutout loss, while the Los Angeles Chargers lost Justin Herbert for the season.
At first glance, this might not seem like an exciting game. Look again, there is incredible prop value on the board for some touchdown bets.
Jakobi Meyers TD (+370 FanDuel)
Davante Adams is priced at a very appealing +200, and given the opponent, that's a bet that makes a lot of sense. We're opting for the better odds with Las Vegas' second wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.
Now, before we get to Meyers, it's important to acknowledge why we want to target the Raiders passing game here. The Chargers rank inside the bottom-five for all main metrics as it relates to a secondary: explosive plays allowed, yards per pass attempt, pass yards per game and DVOA ranks.
Those issues with yardage allowed has translated to touchdowns, as Los Angeles is allowing the fifth-most touchdowns per game to WRs.
Meyers has just six fewer red zone targets than Adams this year, and his six touchdowns scored leads the team's pass-catchers. This price is too good to ignore.
Easton Stick TD (+800 Caesars)
Oh come on, let's have a little fun. Easton Stick is set to be the starter for the Chargers for the rest of the season, and we're always a sucker for some young QB rushing props.
In Stick's most involved preseason game this summer, he rushed in two touchdowns. When he last saw a prominent role, that being college at North Dakota State, Stick rushed 39 touchdowns over his final two seasons.
Go light on this one, but it could be an exhilarating cash.
