NFL Week 16 injury report

As we roll up on Week 16, some teams are already looking toward the offseason. The result has been several significant injury-related roster moves early this week, including Aaron Rodgers.

Davante Adams, WR, Packers

Adams remains in the concussion protocol after taking a hit from Thomas Davis on Sunday. Davis is suspended for Carolina's Week 16 game, as a result.

Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers

Brown is officially out for Week 16 due to a "significant contusion to his lower leg," according to head coach Mike Tomlin. The Steelers hope to have him back for the playoffs.

Rex Burkhead, RB, Patriots

Burkhead is confirmed to have a sprained knee. He will miss this week's game, and the Patriots hope to have him back for the playoffs.

Landon Collins, S, Giants

Collins sat out Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury after leaving Sunday's game. However, he insisted that he will be ready to play this week.

James Conner, RB, Steelers

Conner has been played on injured reserve by the Steelers with a torn MCL. He's expected to have surgery this week. The Steelers signed veteran Stevan Ridley to replace him.

Gaines sat out Wednesday's practice with a knee injury and is considered day-to-day. He left Sunday's game with the injury.

Henry has a small kidney laceration, and has been placed on injured reserve, as a result. Antonio Gates will finish out the year as LA's primary tight end.

Howard was placed on injured reserve following Monday night's game with an ankle injury. Cameron Brate will be looking at more targets going forward.

Iloka sat out Wednesday's practice after leaving Sunday with a shoulder injury. He could miss the final two games of the season.

Rodgers was able to return from collarbone surgery in Week 15. However, the Packers have been eliminated from playoff contention, so the team has decided to shut him down for the rest of the season. Brett Hundley will get the starting quarterback job back over the last two weeks.
