NFL Week 3: Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns betting picks, preview

Both of these teams are 1-1 but with different outlooks. For Tennessee, they have some flaws but in the AFC South, they are going to be in the race all season long. Cleveland is in a more difficult spot of already having to try and replace their best offensive weapon while also having questions about their quarterback. They are not easing into the season.

Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns Betting Trends and Odds

Sunday, September 24, 2023 - 1 p.m. ET

Odds: Cleveland -3.5, Over/under 38.5, Tennessee +142 | Cleveland -170

I think that the markets might be underrating the impact of RB Nick Chubb for Cleveland. You can debate whether he is the best RB in the league but he was the MVP of this team and the only reliable thing on it. Still the markets say that without him they are better than Tennessee overall. I am not quite getting there even though the Titans have not looked great.

Picks for Tennessee vs. Cleveland

Tennessee +3.5, Over 3.5 FGs (-105), Over 4.5 FGs (+240)

Cleveland is in the process of replacing Chubb with Kareem Hunt, who should have success in the role due to his recent stint with the team. However, until quarterback Deshaun Watson starts playing a lot better it is hard to like the Browns in favorite roles this season. Tennessee is not getting elite QB play either but they are used to winning without it and top receiver DeAndre Hopkins looks like he is finally going to play, which helps the passing game massively and makes them less predictable. These teams look pretty evenly matched and as long as we are getting more than three points the visitors are the play.

On the prop side, Tennessee has a weapon in kicker Nick Folk, who has attempted seven field goals already (over just two games), meanwhile, Tennessee has attempted six. Both teams are very comfortable letting their kickers do the scoring instead of asking their quarterbacks to force the issue and create mistakes. Look for that to continue on Sunday.

This game is off the radar a little but will be in teasers for sure. Probably holds steady.
