NFL Week 6 injury update

As we head toward Week 6, there is both good news and bad news in the world of NFL injuries. The following slideshow is an update on this week's injuries as of Wednesday evening.

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants

Beckham was diagnosed with a broken ankle after getting rolled up on late in Sunday's game. He's been ruled out for the season, as things go from bad to worse for the 0-5 Giants.

Sam Bradford, QB, Minnesota Vikings

Bradford gave it a go in the first half of Monday night's game after missing time with a bone bruise in his knee, but it didn't go well. Backup Case Keenum will likely start this week against the Packers.

Charles Clay, TE, Buffalo Bills

Clay underwent arthroscopic surgery for a torn meniscus and sprained MCL in his knee. The Bills expect him to miss multiple weeks.

Chris Conley, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Conley was carted off the field late in Sunday's game with a torn Achilles' and is out for the season. The Chiefs will turn to Demarcus Robinson to replace him.

Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati Bengals

Eifert hasn't played since Week 2 due to a back injury, and ESPN's Adam Schefter reports he could undergo season-ending back surgery. It would be his third back surgery since 2014.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots

Gronk was held out of Thursday's game with a thigh injury and didn't practice on Wednesday. However, he's expected to play this week against the Jets.

Dwayne Harris, WR, New York Giants

Harris will miss the rest of the season with a fractured foot, on top of the season-ending injuries for Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall.

Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce suffered a concussion shortly before halftime of Sunday night's game and didn't practice on Wednesday. He's in the concussion protocol and questions for the Chiefs game against Pittsburgh.

Rob Kelley, RB, Washington Redskins

Jay Gruden said Kelley is a long shot to play on Sunday against the 49ers due to an ankle injury. Samaje Perine and Chris Thompson would fill-in for him.

Kevin King, CB, Green Bay Packers

King left Sunday's game with a concussion and didn't practice on Wednesday. He's questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans

Mariota sat out Sunday's game with a hamstring injury and is shaping up to be a game-time decision against the Colts on Monday. He did participate in practice on Wednesday.

Brandon Marshall, WR, New York Giants

Marshall's season ended with an ankle injury on Sunday that required surgery. At age 33, his football future is in doubt.

Whitney Mercilus, OLB, Houston Texans

Mercilus left very early in Sunday's game with a chest issue, later diagnosed as a torn pectoral. He has been placed on injured reserve and ruled out for the season.

Haloti Ngata, DT, Detroit Lions

Ngata left Sunday's game with a biceps injury. After being placed on injured reserve, he will miss a minimum of eight weeks.

DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

Parker left Sunday's game with a sprained ankle and didn't practice on Wednesday. His status is up in the air this week.

Bilal Powell, RB, New York Jets

Powell suffered a calf injury late in the first half of Sunday's game and didn't practice on Wednesday. However, Matt Forte could return from his toe injury this week, and Elijah McGuire has also shown flashes this season.

Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants

Shepard suffered an ankle injury on Sunday and didn't practice Wednesday. If he's unable to play vs. Denver, Roger Lewis would be the team's No. 1 wideout.

Houston's star defensive end suffered a left tibial plateau fracture in the first half of Sunday's game. He's been ruled out for the season.

Terrance West, RB, Baltimore Ravens

West left early in Sunday's game with a calf injury and didn't practice on Wednesday. Alex Collins and Buck Allen would fill-in if West can't play this week.
