NFL Week 6 'MNF' touchdown bet: Finding value in a Cowboys WR

The clearest vulnerability from tonight's game is most definitely this Los Angeles secondary. The Chargers have gotten gashed by explosive wide receiver plays and have allowed the most yards to receivers on the year.

Not only are the yards flowing when teams play the Chargers, the touchdowns are following. Heading into this weekend, Los Angeles ranked third in the NFL in WR touchdowns allowed per game.

Now sure, you could just bet on WR1 in CeeDee Lamb: he's a great bet to finally pop for a big game. However, we'd prefer looking down the line a bit here, the prices get oh-so-better.

This is a half-unit wager for me.

Michael Gallup TD (+340 FanDuel)

Who is the second receiver on this team? For our money, it's Michael Gallup. Brandin Cooks played more snaps in Weeks 3 and 4, but Gallup played more last week, seeing 82% of the offensive snaps to Cooks's 65%. If you look at the past three weeks of targets, Gallup has seen 18 looks compared to Cooks, who has seen 15.

It isn't a stark difference, but it's enough to make us think Gallup may be the more reliable player on this offense after Lamb. The production has followed, with Gallup averaging 55.67 yards per game while Cooks has averaged only 18.3 yards per game in the four games he's played.
