NFL Week 8 Best Teaser: You'll want to jump on this one

Last week's best teaser hit, and now we're trying to make it two in a row for the first time this season. And unlike last week where we took two teams on the spread via the teaser, we're going to only take one on the spread, and the other on the total points. And if you've been following the NFL even a little bit this season, you know the under is hitting nearly 60% of the time. So, we're going to take the under between the Rams and 49ers, and Arizona on the spread.

Yes, the 49ers acquired running back Christian McCaffrey last week, but don't expect San Francisco to put up 30 against the Rams. It's going to more than a week for this offense to reach its full potential. And don't expect the 49ers to give up 44 points again this week. Kansas City has exploited plenty of defenses over the years, and last week was simply the Chiefs' offense clicking at its finest.

The total points for the Rams and 49ers is set at 43, but with the tease, it's up to 49. These two teams played back in Week 4, and the two teams combined for just 33 points. And that's far from a fluke. These two teams played each other three times last season — once in the playoffs — and the under of 49 points hit twice. And in 2020, well, you guessed it, the under of 49 hit both times.

As for the entire season, these two teams have nailed the under. The Rams are 5-1 against the under, and their last four games haven't even gone over 35 points. As for the 49ers, well, they're 5-2 on the under. And come Sunday, don't expect a much different result. A low-scoring game is almost a guarantee.

No question Arizona has gotten off to a slow start, but DeAndre Hopkins played in his first game last week, and the Cardinals' offense looked significantly better. Heck, they looked unstoppable at times. Arizona put up 42 points and Hopkins went for over 100 receiving yards. And the defense recorded not one, but two pick-sixes against New Orleans. That's why we love Arizona +9.5 via the teaser on Sunday against Minnesota.

The Vikings may be coming off a bye, but that hasn't bode well for Kirk Cousins in the past. Cousins is just 2-5 against the spread coming off a bye week, and since 2010, Minnesota is just 3-10 against the spread following the bye. Talk about bad. Minnesota may be 5-1, but outside of taking it to Green Bay in Week 1, the Vikings haven't won a game by more than eight. And there's no guarantee Minnesota even wins, especially considering how bad they've been off the bye week in the past.

The Bet: Rams/49ers (under 43 points) to Rams/49ers (under 49 points) AND Arizona Cardinals (+3.5) to (+9.5) (+100 odds via Barstool)
