Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is causing quite a stir on social media Friday afternoon.

The problem begins when Palmer made a point that he’s not sure Joe Burrow would want to stay with the Bengals long term.

He references the organization as a whole and clearly still has some bad blood toward the team that drafted him No. 1 overall in 2003.

All Bengals fans want to think about is winning a Super Bowl.

But here is Palmer, already bringing up questions about if Burrow would ever want to launch a full career in Cincinnati.

The reaction is as expected from NFL fans.

NFL World Reacts To Carson Palmer

It does not appear as if the former quarterback truly hates his old organization.

But comments on social media get taken out of context at times and Palmer saying anything bad about Burrow and the team’s future has fans furious.

The former Bengals leader had an ugly exit from the team where he sat out in 2011 until forcing a trade to Oakland.

It was a sad end to his tenure that began with so much hope and promise.

So it does make sense if he has questions about the future of the franchise after it took three decades just to win a playoff game.

The problem here is that Palmer seems to be applying his own thoughts to say what Burrow is thinking.

All signs point toward the young quarterback enjoying playing in his home state.

The Bengals are set to become a free-agent destination as long as he is around, and the team seems to finally be building something special.

Just because this didn’t happen when Palmer was around doesn’t mean great things can’t come to the franchise with Burrow leading the way.
