Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Drama. Drama. More drama. Apparently, that’s what Odell Beckham Jr. was looking for as he took free agent pitches following his release from the Cleveland Browns earlier in the week.

Thursday afternoon saw this drama taken to a whole new level after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that OBJ had signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Immediately after that report, others took to social media and indicated that the three-time Pro Bowler was still on the fence between the Rams and NFC rival Green Bay Packers. It was all sorts of fun.

After a good amount of time passed with LeBron James and others chiming in, it was confirmed that Beckham Jr. had inked a one-year deal with the Rams.

For Los Angeles, this is another absolutely huge get after the team acquired star pass rusher Von Miller in a trade with the Denver Broncos last week.

Despite some major struggles with Cleveland prior to his release (17 catches in six games), Beckham Jr. remains one of the elite talents in the NFL.

From 2014-19, the former New York Giants first-round pick averaged 77 receptions for 1,085 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s an enigmatic figure, as we saw toward the end of OBJ’s short tenure with the Cleveland Browns.

But on the field, Beckham Jr. should fit in well for a Rams team that sits at 7-2 on the season and boasts an MVP candidate in Matthew Stafford at quarterback. Los Angeles enters Week 10’s outing against the last-place San Francisco 49ers averaging 29 points per game. Adding OBJ to the mix is only going to help in that regard.
