The New England Patriots struggled on the field this season are well documented. Fortunately that has not prevented players from continuing to be difference-makers off the field. As a result, Lawrence Guy has been named the Week 13 NFLPA Community MVP.

Lawrence Guy being a stalwart in the community is nothing new. New England made Guy their nominee for the 2022 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. When Guy was nominated for the award, Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft was effusive in his praise of the Guy family after last year’s nomination.

“Lawrence Guy represents what a New England Patriot is and we are proud to nominate him as this year’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award,” Kraft said. “Lawrence and his wife Andrea are involved in wide range of community initiatives in and around New England and it’s amazing to see all of the wonderful work they are doing.”

The veteran was also the winner of the 2021 Ron Burton Community Service Award. That annual honor is given to the Patriot player who displays outstanding commitment in giving back to the community. Guy and his wife began the Lawrence Guy Family Foundation, which was registered as an official nonprofit organization in 2019. He’s consistently active in all team-related charity events.

This most recent honor for Lawrence Guy was to recognize help he provided to needy mothers. Guy provided baby strollers to new moms experiencing hardships around the Boston area.
