Myles Garrett was once again Myles Garrett during the 2023 season like we all expected he would be.

A shoulder injury hindered Garrett for a stretch toward the end of the season, as did a lack of holding calls that he became vocally upset with. Still, the Defensive Player of the Year front-runner found himself finishing the regular season with 14 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Garrett proved this season that he is the most consistent pass rusher that the NFL has right now and he is at the peak of his career. The All-Pro edge rusher is the only NFL player to have at least 14 sacks over the last three seasons and at least 10 sacks in the last six seasons.

Cleveland has the No. 1 defense in the NFL and much of that has to do with the havoc that the defensive line causes for other teams. No one in the NFL has a higher pass rush win rate than Garrett and the same can be said about pressure percentage, per Pro Football Focus.

Browns’ fans should enjoy Garrett while they have him because he’s already been in the NFL for seven seasons now. Not only is Garrett one of the best edge players this game has ever had, but he is a future first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Fame member too.

Cleveland hopes to make a playoff run and that success will be riding on the defense, led by Garrett who needs to have a strong playoff showing.
