Odell Beckham Jr. evidently is keeping tabs on a former division rival’s social media activity, as the Cleveland Browns wide receiver recently surfaced in the comments section of an Ezekiel Elliott Instagram post.
In the post, the Dallas Cowboys running back shared an image of himself and teammate Dak Prescott celebrating. Along with the photograph, Elliott added “21 x 4” as the caption in reference to the two stars’ jersey numbers.
OBJ later left a comment in which he did the math on Elliott’s “equation” by posting “84.”
The Cowboys ran roughshod over the New York Giants — Beckham’s former team, incidentally — in a dominant 35-17 Week 1 win. The team looks to make it two in a row within the NFC East with a showdown Sunday with the Washington Redskins. Dallas limited Elliott’s reps in Week 1, but the running back is campaigning to go full throttle in Week 2.
Beckham, meanwhile, will try to help get his Browns squad back on track after a demoralizing 43-13 blowout loss at home to the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. In light of his social media math efforts on Elliott’s post, odds are OBJ will be making a calculated effort to get things turned around for the Browns on Monday night against the New York Jets.
