OT Morgan Moses signs one-year, $3.6M deal with Jets

Former Washington Football Team right tackle Morgan Moses has a new home.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Moses has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the New York Jets that carries a base salary of $3.6 million:

Washington granted Moses permission to seek a trade in May but then released him days later as a salary-cap casualty in a transaction that reportedly saved $7.75 million in salary-cap space. Before that move, Washington selected Texas Longhorns tackle Samuel Cosmi in the second round of this year's draft and signed one-time Pro Bowl left tackle Charles Leno Jr. to a one-year deal.

Moses started every game for Washington from 2015 through 2020, and he instantly improves a Jets offensive line now tasked with keeping a hoped-to-be franchise savior in rookie quarterback Zach Wilson upright.
