Packers believe 49ers, Broncos tampered with Aaron Rodgers?

The Aaron Rodgers' situation continues to get more interesting by the day.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky , the Green Bay Packers believe the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos violated the NFL's tampering rules by contacting Rodgers to see if he was interested in playing for them. However, the Packers have not filed a tampering complaint with the NFL, Demovsky adds.

Under league rules, a player under contract with one team cannot be contacted by another team unless that player's current team gives other teams permission.

The Packers are reluctant to trade Rodgers, but the reigning MVP reportedly is interested in playing for the Niners, Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders. San Francisco is likely out of the picture after drafting Trey Lance third overall, but Denver and Las Vegas seem like viable options.

Rodgers reportedly is intrigued by the Raiders as a potential landing spot. The Broncos also reportedly were putting together an interesting trade package to offer the Packers for the veteran signal-caller.

A report Wednesday also stated that Rodgers mocked Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst in a team group text. The 37-year-old reportedly doesn't want to return to Green Bay unless Gutekunst is fired.

Rodgers' unhappiness with the franchise began when it traded up to draft his potential successor in Jordan Love last year. It reportedly worsened when wide receiver Jake Kumerow was released last September.
