Packers coach Matt LaFleur not concerned with previous loss to Buccaneers

The Green Bay Packers are set to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game this weekend, but this is not the first time the two teams have played this season. Way back in Week 6, the Buccaneers handily beat the Packers 38-10, with Aaron Rodgers throwing two interceptions and completing less than half of his passes in Green Bay's worst loss of the season. But Packers coach Matt LaFleur said his team isn't concerned about their previous matchup against the Bucs.

"I think our team has come a long way from that day, but everything's just words at this point," LaFleur told the Associated Press. "You've got to go out there and you've got to have a great week of preparation and you've got to go earn it on the field. So that'll be our mindset and that's how we'll approach it."

LaFleur is right that the Packers have come a long way since that loss, winning their last seven games, including last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams. Green Bay's offense has looked unstoppable during the winning streak, scoring at least 30 points in all but one game. And the team's dominance has been in large part thanks to Aaron Rodgers, who is set to win his third career MVP thanks to his incredible season.

If the Bucs want to have any chance of beating the Packers, they will likely need their defense to make Rodgers as uncomfortable as possible. In last week's win over the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay's defense picked off Drew Brees three times, which proved to be the difference.
