Packers coach Matt LaFleur unsure if Aaron Rodgers will attend mandatory minicamp

The standoff between disgruntled quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst regarding the future of the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player continues into June.

Rodgers is skipping organized team activities and forfeiting a $500,000 workout bonus in the process, and Packers coach Matt LaFleur told reporters Wednesday he's not sure if the 37-year-old signal-caller will attend next week's mandatory minicamp that begins Tuesday.

"I don't know," LaFleur said when asked about Rodgers' status for those sessions, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "We'll see come Tuesday."

LaFleur added he has no update on the Rodgers situation but repeated he wants the future Hall of Famer to eventually return to the club.

According to Demovsky, the Packers can fine Rodgers $93,000 for missing the mandatory three-day camp. Spotrac lists the QB's career earnings from only NFL contracts at over $240 million, so that would likely be a small price to pay for somebody who is allegedly willing to sit out through the start of the season to force a trade, if necessary.

Gutekunst, meanwhile, has said for over a month that he's not trading Rodgers this spring or summer.
