Green Bay Packers insider Rob Demovsky ripped cornerback Jaire Alexander ahead of the team’s Wild Card Round playoff matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, accusing Alexander of selfishness.

During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Demovsky was asked by host Shan Shariff to fill in the blank for the statement “Jaire Alexander is…?

Demovsky, who writes for ESPN, offered a pretty blunt response.

“All about Jaire Alexander,” he said.

Demovsky was then asked if he thinks Alexander is a “great” cornerback.

“I think when he wants to be and when he’s fully engaged, and I’m just not sure that’s where he is right now,” he said. “It’s been a weird, weird run for him. And I could say a weird dude, too, to finish that sentence. He’s a different guy. I mean, I still think he’s a good player. I just don’t know if he’s ever going to be the player he was in like 2020, 2021 when he was an All-Pro guy.”

Alexander is certainly a character. That’s for sure.

Several weeks ago, the star defensive back ended up getting suspended for a game by the team after he went out to midfield for the pregame coin toss in spite of not being a team captain.

There have also been rumors that the Packers could explore a trade for Alexander this coming offseaon.

Alexander was limited to just seven games this season, as he was inhibited by injuries most of the year. During his time on the field, he logged 27 tackles, a forced fumble and five passes defended.

Demovsky has been covering the Packers for a long time, so for him to take such a direct shot at Jaire Alexander is certainly strange.

Green Bay went 9-8 this season. It will face the Cowboys on Sunday.
