Packers Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark suffered a shoulder injury against the Rams and did not return to the game. After being examined in the blue medical tent, Clark was carted off into the locker room and did not return. The Packers come to Acrisure Stadium next week to face the Steelers, and the loss of Clark could be monumental.

Following the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that there was not a long-term worry for Clark and his injury, but that does not mean that he could be out in the short term. Clark has gone to two Pro Bowls in his career and has racked up four sacks so far this season.

One of the most disruptive forces in the NFL, Clark is one of the game’s more underrated interior pass rushers. Pittsburgh has faced many of those in a short span with Aaron Donald and Jeffery Simmons on the schedule, but Clark is one of the league’s premier interior defensive tackles, too. If he is out, the Steelers will have less to handle upfront from the interior, though Rashan Gary will give the team plenty of issues to worry about off the edge. Without Clark, rookies Karl Brooks and Colby Wooden could step more into those roles that Clark fills.
