Packers Pro Bowl RB Aaron Jones hasn't heard from Aaron Rodgers

Earlier this week, Green Bay Packers four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams had a lot to say about the situation involving disgruntled quarterback and reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers.

Meanwhile, 2020 Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones, who committed his future to the franchise in March via a four-year contract worth up to $48 million, offered little inside information during an appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show" on Thursday.

"I’m just sitting back," Jones explained, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. "I mean, I see what everybody else sees. I mean, I haven’t heard from Aaron or anybody, so I’m gonna wait until I get up to Green Bay and see for myself or hear it from him myself. I don’t get caught up in reading the articles and things like that. I just wait until it plays out and control what I can control."

Jones added that he "hopes" Rodgers remains with Green Bay through the summer months and the start of the 2021 campaign.

While Rodgers is signed through 2023, neither Jones nor Adams said anything to lead fans to believe the future Hall of Famer and the Packers are close to working things out before the Memorial Day holiday.

Reports surfaced Wednesday that the Packers are signing 2014 first-round pick Blake Bortles to a one-year contract.
