Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: Hurting toe 'not going to stop me from playing'

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur suggested Monday that quarterback Aaron Rodgers could continue his trend of sitting through practice sessions as he continues to try to avoid having surgery to repair the fractured pinky toe he's dealt with over four consecutive games.

Rodgers admitted after Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears the toe felt "worse" but offered a new update on the situation during his Tuesday appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."

"Toe was definitely hurting after the game, but it is what it is," Rodgers explained, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "It’s not going to be a problem I don’t think. It’s not going to stop me from playing. It’s just pain management but I’m going to keep playing and probably not practice a whole lot."

The Packers improved to 10-3 via Sunday's victory, and Rodgers completed 29-of-37 passes for 341 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions versus Chicago. The reigning NFL Most Valuable Player is now preparing to face an 8-5 Baltimore Ravens side that is hoping to have quarterback Lamar Jackson in the lineup after he suffered an ankle injury in this past Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns.
