Locker rooms get tested when teams have losing records. The Packers sit at 3-4 after seven weeks.

After three straight losses, quarterback Aaron Rodgers made his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" and talked about how players on the Packers are making mistakes. Rodgers suggested that players making too many mistakes shouldn’t be on the field as much during games.

Former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings took issue with Rodgers’ comments. One wondered how teammates would respond as the team got together to practice before their Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Sammy Watkins is in his first year with the Packers. He’s missed most of the season with a hamstring injury but returned in Week 7. However, his nine years in the league have given him perspective on what kind of play is acceptable to continue getting playing time.

According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Watkins said after Wednesday’s practice that he agrees with Rodgers’ assessment.

“If you’re not performing or executing … then I’m with Aaron. If I’m not playing well and I’m freaking up and busting plays, get me out of the game because that’s not helping the team.”

Rodgers seems to be speaking the truth about this Packers football team. That’s why head coach Matt LaFleur and his teammates had Rodgers' back in interviews Wednesday.
