As always, the worst part of training camp, and the regular season for that matter, is injuries. The Falcons were dealt their first blow on Wednesday.

Offensive lineman Ethan Greenidge was first carted off the field, and then defensive lineman Ikenna Enechukwu went down and was subsequently carted off the field.

The Falcons haven’t had Calais Campbell, Jonnu Smith, or Matt Hennessy as all three deal with injuries; however, those don’t seem serious at all.

As for Greenidge and Enechukwu, Smith did not have any updates, but getting carted off the field is never a good sign. Enechukwu was a long shot to carve out a role and make the final 53-man roster, but nevertheless, the injury news is unfortunate.

Greenidge, on the other hand, had a legitimate opportunity to be a primary reserve along the offensive line. It’s a shame, and now the Falcons will likely be forced to make another free agent addition or two to replace these guys.
