OWINGS MILLS, Md — A couple of former Ravens are headed to Super Bowl LVII for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and defensive tackle Brandon Williams will bet a chance to earn a championship ring for the first time.

The Ravens traded Brown to the Chiefs in 2021 in exchange for four draft picks, including a first-round selection. Brown had asked to be traded because he wanted to play left tackle full-time and Ronnie Stanley was entrenched in the position at the time.

In addition to the 31st overall pick in last year's draft, Baltimore received a 2021 third-round selection (94 overall), a 2022 fourth-round pick, and a 2022 fifth-round selection.

Kansas City received a 2021 second-round pick and a 2022 sixth-round pick, in addition to Brown.

The Ravens selected Penn State outside linebacker Odafe Oweh with that 31st pick and took Georgia guard Ben Cleveland with the third-round selection. At pick No. 58, the Chiefs took Missouri linebacker Nick Bolton.

The Chiefs placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Brown on March 7, 2022.

This past year, the Ravens decided not to re-sign Brandon Williams after nine seasons. He made the Pro Bowl in 2018 and finished with 6.5 career sacks in Baltimore.

While it was perceived that Williams had retired, he decided to sign with the Chiefs' practice squad late in the season. He was promoted to the active roster on Dec. 8.

Williams played nine defensive snaps in the AFC title game. Williams also had two tackles and a half-sack in seven games for the Chiefs.

“I’m going to start off by saying I’m very happy for [Brandon Williams]. ‘Big Baby,’ that’s my dawg." Ravens defensive tackle Broderick Washington said. "I hate that he went to the Chiefs, but I’m happy that he’s back out there competing, though. But I hate that he went to the Chiefs; I really hate that.”
