Carolina Panthers receiver Shi Smith has been was taken to the medical tent following a collision in Saturday’s preseason game against the New York Jets. Smith was called for a blind-side block on Jets cornerback Javelin Guidry in the third quarter and was helped off the field by team trainers.

It’s unclear at this point what the injury was. Smith walked off under his own power but appeared to be favoring his right arm. The South Carolina product is set to enter his third season in the NFL. He is coming off of a season in which he totaled 22 catches for 296 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Thankfully, Smith later returned to the game a few moments later. He caught a 20-yard pass from quarterback Matt Corral early in the fourth quarter.
