The Carolina Panthers made the first series of roster moves yesterday following the start of training camp.

The team waived wide receiver Marquez Stevenson, who signed with the team back in the spring and signed free agent wide receiver Javon Wims.

Wims, 28, is a former 7th-round draft pick of the Chicago Bears which is where he spent the first three years of his career. In his time with Chicago, Wims hauled in 28 receptions for 266 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

At the end of training camp in 2021 he was waived by the Bears and eventually caught on with the Las Vegas Raiders for a short period of time. He spent OTAs and training camp last year with the Browns before getting cut and most recently was a part of the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad.
