Patrick Mahomes determined to improve following Super Bowl loss

Patrick Mahomes has arguably had the most impressive start to a career in the history of NFL quarterbacks. Through three seasons as the starter for the Kansas City Chiefs, he has won a regular-season MVP, Super Bowl MVP and has been to the AFC Championship Game each season (making the Super Bowl twice).

However, Mahomes says that he still feels there's plenty of ways he can improve as a quarterback, and he hopes to head into the upcoming season even better than he has been so far in his career. What's the biggest area Mahomes wants to improve? His footwork, as he feels it has caused him to be injured too often.

"There are so many different things I can improve in my game," Mahomes said, per Nate Taylor of The Athletic. "Being able to kind of restart, and start from [the] injury with the feet, I can really improve my footwork. I’ve dealt with ankle injuries in my career and being able to teach myself how to hit in the right spots with my feet. Teaching myself just how to get back from this injury will help me out in the long run."

It's clear that Mahomes has taken the Chiefs' disappointing Super Bowl loss to the Buccaneers to heart and is now determined to take his game to another level. If he does, the rest of the league better prepare, as he has already managed to dominate on a level never seen before.
