Patriots-Eagles game is already most expensive ticket in NFL this season

The Week 1 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium is going to be one of the hottest tickets in the NFL this season, and it is already the hottest ticket in the league.

According to Vivid Seats (via ESPN), the average ticket price for that game on the second-hand market is already $807. That is over $300 more than the second most in-demand game, which is the Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers game which is averaging $501 per ticket.

The Patriots-Eagles game is the perfect storm for the second-hand ticket market.

It is Week 1 for the Patriots, a team that will always have a huge demand for tickets.

It is also against an elite team (Philadelphia) and a rematch of Super Bowl LII when the Eagles defeated the Patriots, 41-33.

Even more important than all of that, it is also the game where the Patriots will be welcoming back future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady to honor for his legendary career with the Patriots that saw him lead the team to six championships.

That, more than anything, is driving the ticket market for that game.

The market for that game is so high that the lowest price for that game on Vivid Seats ($551) is still $50 higher than the second most expensive game on the NFL schedule.
