The Philadelphia Eagles should be highly motivated heading into the 2024 season. After a breakout campaign in 2022, with an appearance in the Super Bowl, the team fell apart down the stretch of 2023.

A 10-1 start had many people believing that the Eagles were legitimate NFC Contenders once again. Their only loss during that stretch came in an upset by the New York Jets in Week 6, but cracks were beginning to show.

Philadelphia’s defense was nowhere near as good as the unit that was on the field in 2022. The offense also had plenty of issues, looking more like a Pee Wee team at points than professionals with the game plans in place.

The Philadelphia Eagles would finish the regular season losing five out of six games. They were defeated with ease during Super Wild Card Weekend by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which led to some major changes this offseason.

The staff around head coach Nick Sirianni was overhauled, as he will be working with new offensive and defensive coordinators for the third straight season. Taking over as offensive coordinator is Kellen Moore, who spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers and previously worked with the Dallas Cowboys.

His presence is one that NFL analyst Dave Zangaro believes will have a major impact on quarterback Jalen Hurts. During an appearance on NBC Sports Philadelphia, Zangaro made a case for 2024 being a career year for the star quarterback.

Hurts has a new weapon to work with in the backfield, as the Philadelphia Eagles splurged for running back Saquon Barkley in free agency. Wide receivers DeVante Parker and Parris Campbell were also signed to upgrade the depth behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Moore is a proven commodity when it comes to offensive performance and should help Hurts immensely. There is a lot of talent to take advantage of on the Eagles’ offense, which bodes well for their quarterback’s outlook in 2024.
