Player poll shows Arrowhead, MetLife on opposite ends of best/worst stadiums

It’s well-known that Arrowhead Stadium is fairly popular with Taylor Swift, but how does it stack up with players across the NFL?

According to a recently conducted NFL player poll by The Athletic, Arrowhead actually tops the list as the best venue to play in, receiving the largest number of votes (17.9%) among the 85 players polled.

“[Arrowhead is] is electric,” an anonymous player said. “That’s one of the coolest places to play. In my opinion, the loudest in the NFL.”

U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings, took second place with 13.7% of votes, while Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium (8.9%), Green Bay’s Lambeau Field (8.3%) and Seattle’s Lumen Field (8.3%) rounded out the rest of the top five.

Conversely, MetLife Stadium, shared by the New York Giants and Jets, was voted the worst stadium to play with 18.4% of votes, while Washington’s FedEx Field (13.9%) and Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium (12.7%) placed in the bottom three.

FedEx Field made headlines over the weekend for having little to no water pressure and only cold water for players to shower with following the Giants’ 31-19 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

“Almost everything about (FedEx Field) is below the standard of what an NFL stadium should be,” another player confessed to The Athletic.

Lambeau Field was the only stadium to rank in both the top and bottom five.
