Pro Bowl OT Laremy Tunsil agrees to record three-year, $66M extension with Texans

The Houston Texans locked up left tackle Laremy Tunsil for another three years.

Tunsil and the Texans have reportedly agreed to a three-year, $66 million extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, with $57.85 million fully guaranteed.

The deal will make Tunsil the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL, and he acted as his own agent in negotiations with Texans head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien.

In his first season with the Texans, Tunsil was named to his first Pro Bowl and helped solidify the Texans offensive line. The 25-year-old was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2016 after he was selected by the Miami Dolphins 13th overall that same year.

Houston acquired the tackle, along with Kenny Stills, last offseason in a trade with Miami that sent the Texans' 2020 first-round and 2021 first- and second-round picks to the Dolphins.
